Capcom have announced a crossover between Monster Hunter Rise and the iconic Japanese mythology adventure Okami. The best thing? It’s going live this week!
By completing this week’s weekly “Events Quests”, you can earn an Amaterasu skin for your Palemute. I always wanted to have it really and now I will finally have the opportunity to wear it in Monster Hunter Rise. So epic!
If you’re not familiar with the concept already, Okami is an action-adventure game developed by Capcom’s now-defunct Clover Studio and it was released back in 2006 on the PS2. It also got an HD remaster at a later point on other platforms and the most recent launch was Okami HD on Nintendo Switch in 2018. A sequel would be perfect, but we’ll see if the team has such ambitions in the future. Fingers are crossed!
Monster Hunter Rise was a damn good game already, and with this crossover, I’m ought to play it even more. The Monster Hunter Rise and Okami crossover is going live on Nintendo Switch on July 30.
