As you already know, the Dead Space remake is in the works, and right now, the project got a blessing from the original co-creator Glen Schofield as well. Just what we needed!
The former Visceral Studios head issued a tweet and he said the following: “Directing the original Dead Space was one of the highlights of my career. Excited to see what the EA (Motive) team does with it!” EA Motive responded to this tweet in a wonderful manner, saying “You paved the way for us, Glen. Looking forward to the Callisto Protocol as well.”
The Dead Space remake will see the original game rebuilt from scratch in the Frostbite engine. We are getting improved gameplay, characters, and even the story itself. The remake is currently scheduled for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2022, but we are yet to get an exact release date.
We can’t do much but wait at this point. I’m sure we won’t be disappointed.
