Originally scheduled for launch in 2022, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is getting yet another delay, and, based on this new and updated roadmap, it is now supposed to launch on September 5, 2024. According to the latest video from GSC Game World, this is the “final” release date.

Explaining their decision, GSC noted that numerous players had the chance to experience Stalker 2 for the first time at Gamescom 2023. Following extensive playtests, GSC identified certain technical aspects that required additional refinement. Initially committed to an early 2024 release, the team encountered unforeseen technical challenges, prompting the latest delay.
