Krafton have announced that the new PUBG: Battlegrounds map, Deston, will launch this July. The new map will feature a megacity and various landmarks. It is an 8x8 map and based on what we are told, this will be the “largest, tallest, and densest” map thus far.
The description reads as follows:
“A sneak preview of Deston and how the world will be different to the previous maps! Knowing your battlegrounds will surely give you the upper hand in combat.”
According to the announcement:
“The map aims to deliver the sweet spot between fun gameplay and immersing players in realistic battlegrounds. Deston will challenge players to learn each biome of the map to understand how it will challenge them to consider different gear, vehicles and cover in order to claim a Chicken Dinner.”
Along with the new map, we’re getting a brand new mechanic as well. We’ll see a motorized pulley, called the Ascender, that allows us to zip up the buildings effortlessly. Even Spider-Man himself can be put to shame! And if that’s not enough, we’re also getting a new Emergency Parachute that we can now add to our inventory by default.
