Microsoft have announced that their June Xbox update will allow everyone to reveal details of their secret achievements. They include the achievement description, the Gamerscore, and of course, the title itself.

In a blog post that we can find on the official Xbox site, the head of engineering, Eden Marie said the following:

“Starting in June, you can choose to reveal secret achievements. If you don’t mind spoilers and want a hint on any of the achievements in the games you’re playing, it’s easy to find the secret achievement details on your Xbox.

From within a game, open the guide and go to Game activity > Achievements. When you see a secret achievement, you can now reveal details like the title, achievement description, and Gamerscore. And after you peek, you can go back and hide it or continue to display the details.”

Speaking of Xbox, an official spokesperson confirmed that the company is planning to move away from the current stand-alone cloud gaming device –

“As part of any technical journey, we are constantly evaluating our efforts, reviewing our learnings, and ensuring we are bringing value to our customers. We have made the decision to pivot away from the current iteration of the Keystone device.”

Xbox keeps kicking ass, no doubt. Please keep this awesomeness in the future as well, Microsoft.
