Techland have promised five years of post-launch support for their upcoming open-world zombie title Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

The team issued a statement on the official Twitter account the past weekend and here’s what they had to say: “We guarantee to expand the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human for at least 5 years post-launch with new stories, locations, in-game events and all the fun stuff you love.”

Based on what we can hear, we will have even more than 500 hours of content to go through, which is amazing. This figure includes collectibles, side missions, and seeing all of the game’s potential decisions and endings. The main story itself will take around 20 hours to complete, which is still quite decent.

The original Dying Light was getting regular updates for nearly seven years, so this claim has lots of weight. Now we have even more reasons to look forward to a sequel.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is coming out on February 4 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud).
