Techland have announced that it takes 500 hours to fully complete Dying Light 2: Stay Human, so make sure you have enough space in your schedule.

The claim was made on the game’s official Twitter account, comparing this time to a walk from Warsaw to Madrid. Of course, this sparked a lot of debate about the general length of games and respecting a gamer’s time.

The mentioned debate made the Polish studio issue a clarification to the claim.  “500 hours is related to maxing out the game – finishing all the quests, endings, and exploring every part of the world. But a regular player should finish the story + side quests and do quite a lot of exploring in less than 100 hours, so don’t worry!” That makes perfect sense, thanks for the clarification guys and gals!

It was announced last week that Techland will be offering up their final Dying 2 Know broadcast on Thursday evening. The video series have been showing us what we can expect in this open-world zombie game since it was re-revealed last year on a regular basis. Not long until the game launches right now, so the hype is very real indeed.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch (via the Cloud), and PC on February 4.
