Saber Interactive have announced that they are preparing a Dakar rally game for PC and consoles, and it’s scheduled for release next year.
As they’ve said, the game will do its best to capture the speed and excitement of the real-life annual Dakar rally. We are getting plenty of all-terrain vehicles from top manufacturers as well as a variety of rally cars, quads, trucks, SSVs, and even motorcycles. The game will also include 30 stages of full rally racing, teams, and pilots from the 2020 and 2021 Dakar Rally events, which is quite awesome indeed.
The game will also include dynamic weather and seasons, as well as a full day and night cycle. In general, you should expect extreme racing conditions, but that’s the Dakar rally for you. There will be plenty of rain, sandstorms, and some deep mud to give you additional headaches. You’ll also be able to rescue your fellow competitors if you need some repair points. Lastly, the game will have lots of challenges for both casual players and die-hard veterans, and of course, multiplayer is included as well.
Dakar Desert Rally is coming out in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. Make sure you check out the trailer below.
