The Game Kitchen and Team 17 have dropped a new patch for the pixel platform slasher Blasphemous.


As we’ve been told, The Wounds of Eventide is the final new chapter for the game. It includes new items, new levels, new bosses, and a lot of secrets that you can uncover. Other than adding new content, the new chapter also unlocks another fate for Cvstodia, and this fate will tie the game into its upcoming sequel, which is scheduled for release next year.

You play the game as the sole survivor of a massacre known as the ‘Silent Sorrow’ - The Penitent One. You are trapped in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, and you will have to find your way out of this nightmarish world that looks like something you would see in a Dark Souls game. Yeah, now you see why you are in for one hell of a ride.

If you have a late-game save, you may not be able to access some of the new content, but the team says you will get clues on how to access it when you replay the game.

Wounds of Eventide is available now in Blasphemous on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out the trailer below:
