Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting a new update soon and the biggest highlight is that you will have to redownload the entire game again to make it work. Make sure you free up some bandwidth!

As Ubisoft announced, the 1.4.1 update will include a major data restructuring, which means that all players will have to redownload between 40 and 78GB of patch data. That being said, once the download is done, the amount of space the game consumes on your hard drive will be smaller. If we’re talking about Xbox Series S, for instance, this should free up 44 GB of disk space.

Ubisoft also says the update will improve the overall performance of the game. That includes the “overall runtime performance” as well as faster loading screen times and improved world data streaming. Based on what we can see in this update, we can conclude it’s meant to prepare the game for its second year of updates going forward.

Ubi are yet to reveal what they have in store for the game in 2022, but in any case, make sure you have enough space on your hard drive. The 1.4.1 update will drop at some point next week.
