Nintendo have announced an epic Grand Prix event this weekend for their battle royale puzzler Tetris 99, and this time, we have a Mario Party Superstars theme.
Let’s make a small recap in case you don’t know how the whole thing works. From the time the event starts, you will be earning points depending on where you place from 100-1 in different Tetris 99 games. The higher you place, the more points you will earn. If you manage to collect 100 points, you will unlock the whole theme permanently.
The Mario Party Superstars theme includes exclusive background, music, sound effects, and UI all based upon the party game. Released in October, the game brought back several classic Mario Party maps from the N64 era but with a modern makeover. The collection also includes full online multiplayer support, so that’s quite awesome.
The Previous Tetris 99 Grand Prix events include ones based on Monster Hunter Rise and Metroid Dread. The Mario Party Superstars Grand Prix runs from 7 AM UK time on December 10 and lasts until 7 AM on December 14, so make sure you tune in during that period.
