Frogwares gave us an update on when we can expect the previous-gen versions of the recently released Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One.

The studio posted a message on their official Twitter account letting everyone know that the game is certainly coming out for older consoles as well. Here’s what they said: “Please rest assured that the team is making good progress, and at the moment, we are looking at a Q1 release on PS4 and Xbox One. We had to make the tough decision and delay our PS4 and Xbox One versions back in October and we are still 100% in support of this choice. We needed to take a bit more time to polish and test the game on the older hardware to deliver appropriate performance. This is our top priority, and we’re doing our best to make sure that the release is of proper quality and well-optimized.”

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One recently launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC last month and it tells the story of a young agent Holmes who returns to the island of Cordona to find out who killed his mother. It’s definitely a game worth playing. If you still own a PS4 or Xbox One and you want to try it out, the good news is, you won’t have to wait too long.
