Nintendo have announced that their iconic RPG Paper Mario will be available to all Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers starting from this week.

This is the first N64 title to hit the service since launch in October. The 2001 classic sees our beloved plumber heading into a paper version of the Mushroom Kingdom to restore the seven Star Spirits that Bowser has captured. Of course, he needs to save his darling Princess Peach from his clutches as well. A typical Mario plot, but in a new outfit. And it works great.

Instead of getting yet another Mario platformer, we now have a turn-based RPG instead. It brings in fresh and unique artstyle that works really well and the gameplay is awesome as well.  We also have some clever sense of humor added into the writing for a truly immersive expereince.

Following Paper Mario, we will get more N64 titles coming to the service in the next couple of months as well. We will be getting The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Banjo-Kazooie, Pokémon Snap, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Mario Golf and F-Zero X. Along with classics like Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, we are in for a real blast of old-school nostalgia.

Paper Mario will be available for all Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers starting from December 10. You can check out the trailer below:
