Mojang Studios have marked the arrival of the Caves & Cliffs Part II update in Minecraft today with a brand new trailer.

This half of the two-part update includes overhauled terrain generation. More specifically, this includes an increased world height, larger ore veins, candles, and much more. We also have two new biomes to explore – the Lush Caves and the Dripstone Caves.

If you already have an existing world on Bedrock, you should be able to upgrade your worlds by using the guide here. These changes will increase the amount of space worlds take up on your device, among other things. You can read the full changelog here for Java here and here for Bedrock.

Speaking of next year’s Wild update, Mojang also confirmed that a couple of features intended for this year will now arrive next year instead. These include the Deep Dark biome, Sculk blocks, and The Warden. You can get a sneak peek at some of these items via the Vanilla Experiments toggle in the menu.

The first part of the Caves & Cliffs update launched back in June. It added new mobs, such as the goat, Glow Squid, and Axolotl. The Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II update is available to download now. You can check out the trailer below.
