Idris Elba will play Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie
A Suicide Squad star is coming back!
The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie was quite a blast and we’re hoping the second one will be even better. Anyway, it appears that the movie sequel found its Knuckles in none other than Idris Elba, the Suicide Squad star.
The popular actor confirmed the information on his Twitter account and he said he’s going to lend his voice to one of the most iconic characters in the Sonic universe. The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed the news in their report.
Elba will be joining Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Jom Carey as Doctor Robotnik, as well as actors like James Marsden and Tika Sumpter. Tails is also coming back to the sequel, though his voice actor is yet to be unveiled.
What a year for our favorite Blue Blur. He’s celebrating his 30th Anniversary, the first movie was an absolute blast, and a remaster of Sonic Colors is also on its way. Great times indeed!
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 live-action movie is scheduled to land in cinemas on April 8, 2022.
