Sonic Colors: Ultimate shows off its new features in the latest trailer
Gotta collect those rings.
Sega and Blind Squirrel Entertainment have dropped a new trailer for Sonic Colors: Ultimate where they’ve shown off all the new features and visual upgrades.
We now have slightly improved graphics, 4K resolution, revamped lighting, and a steady 60 FPS rate to enjoy. Moreover, the remaster also includes a new mode called “Rival Rush” where you will be fighting Metal Sonic for some truly awesome rewards. You will get to earn Park tokens as well and these will give “unique boots, auras, shoes and gloves” that our favorite hedgehog can wear.
There will be some new gameplay mechanics as well, like the brand new Jade Ghost ability that allows Sonic to fly through the levels and even pass through certain objects to reach new hidden areas. We also a Tails Save checkpoint system that gives us some kind of a safety net for the more difficult sections of the game, and we’ll be able to grab special “100 Count” rings that give us temporary invincibility and a score boost once we beat the level.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 7. You can check out the video below:
