The next Battlefield game will have some pretty big battles, which means a lot of players will get to team up and play together. In some cases, that may not go as smoothly as it sounds, but EA have already engineered a solution – they’ll be using bots to spice things up.

EA have confirmed to The Verge that Battlefield 2042’s “All-Out Warfare” modes, which can fit 128 players in a match on Xbox Series X, PC, and PS5 will use bots to keep the servers filled. Human players will still have full priority, but we will get up to 64 AI bots to fill up the games, including Breakthrough and Conquest modes. As EA confirmed that you’ll be able to play bot matches in the upcoming Battlefield games, this addition doesn’t come as a big surprise. I think it’s a good call, it’s better to have your matches filled up with bots than spend your precious time waiting for human players so that you can play the game.

EA will release more information on how the bots work soon, and I am really looking forward to it
