Nintendo have dropped a new trailer giving us an overview of what we can expect once the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swords comes to our stores next month.

The game was initially released on the Nintendo Wii back in 2011, and technically speaking, it’s an introduction to the series. The story of Skyward Sword is a prequel that kicks off the Zelda timeline and it tells us more about the origins of Hyrule and the Master Sword itself. As expected, you’ll take control of Link and you’ll be on a quest to find your childhood friend Zelda from the clouds and across the Surface world below.

Each Joy-Con can respond to your sword and shield with motion controls as was the case with the Wii original. If you wish, however, you can also use the brand new button-only mode. Along with your weapons, you’ll also get to use a bunch of tools during your adventure, including the Whip, Clawshot, Beetle, and of course, Bombs.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will launch on Nintendo Switch on 16 July 2021. A special Zelda and Loftwing amiibo set will also launch alongside the game, and if you use it in-game, you’ll be able to fast-travel at any time. You can check out the trailer below:
