Even though some players were hoping, Skyward Sword will not be released on Nintendo Switch. Eiji Aonuma previously suggested that Nintendo is planning to bring the game to their newest console, but it appears that it was only a false hope...at least for now, that is.
And it's not just a rumor, Nintendo themselves confirmed the announcement in an interview for Eurogamer - "At this time we have no plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch".
The previous Zelda games such as Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker have seen remasters and re-releases on other platforms (Wii U and 3DS), but for now, that will not be the case with Skyward Sword. Oh well, at least it wasn't the most popular Zelda around anyway.
