Nintendo have confirmed that a new Animal Crossing is being developed for quite some time now and it's coming to Switch. The presentation was very lengthy, but the ending was certainly satisfying as, right after we found out that Isabelle will become a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we also got a confirmation that a brand new Animal Crossing is in the pipeline for Nintendo's big hybrid powerhouse.
We don't have any actual info about the content but, knowing Big N, we should expect that fairly soon. At least we can sleep tight knowing that we will Animal Crossing will finally get a new entry in the franchise, for the first time since 2013 (wow, time sure goes by quickly).
The new Animal Crossing will, supposedly, be released at some point in 2019.
